St. John's Religious Overview
As a school founded by Episcopal Bishop Elisha Smith Thomas, religious training and education has been an essential piece of the St. John's experience. The founders believed that a solid religious foundation is necessary in order to build the moral and ethical character that is required of any sound educational endeavor.
Cadets attend services several times during the week, in addition to Sunday mornings. Services held at St. John's are geared toward participation. Cadets not only attend, but they are active in a variety of ways throughout the services. Participation, coupled with support and direction, helps them gain a better understanding of the Christian approach to the roles religion plays in their lives. Young men of all faiths and traditions live and participate together at St. John's.
